Inspiring Pictures (IP)

I love the elegance of this collection so much. The lovely spring colours adore with lace which compliments the complexion.
This is so cute and what more can I say? Just look for your self!
I really want these! The colours pop and would look great with a tan, a good staple for this summer! Anyone recognise where they are from?
This is such a cute outfit and the  pink is gorgeous!

Spring Makeup Trends!

Trends are forever changing but the one thing I say is that you should follow trends, you should wear what suits you. If you do this then you will always look good! Fashion and style are different, just remember!
Make up on the other hand is usually easier to incorporate into your own look. Check out the latest makeup looks below.
Rouge lips- This is a strong empowering red and the way you want to wear it this season varies from a more art deco style to a more pop art style just as long as it's red.
Modern Cat eyes- The typical cat eyeliner just revamped a little. THis time it is more exaggerated and it has an edginess to it. Wear it in different colours this time too!
Sporty Cheeks- Get that blushed look and let the cheeks do the talking this season. Use any colour that suits you and is natural, from apricot to orange for that sun kissed look.

Fashion pairs is all about different pair together fashionable outfits. Today my fashion pairs are going to sport the latest trends and they are to give inspiration of how to pull them off in a more wearable way!

Sportswear
Here I have paired a beautiful figure hugging Alexander Wang dress which is mesh-pannelled jersey and has a quirky collar with some neutral accessories to keep it simple and to keep the attention drawn to the key piece!
Belt-Gucci
Pumps- Repetto BB leather ballet flats
Bag- Mulberry (Harriet)

Gatsby Elegance

This is art deco inspired and very 1920's but modernised. I have paired a low waisted feather skirt which is a reminiscent of those drop waisted flapper dresses. Then relax the look with a comfy fine knit jumper and some nude kitten heels to give that effortless chic yet fashionable slouchy vibe. Finally add some glitter with the clutch and you have your Gatsby inspired look!
skirt- Malene Birger
Jumper- Miu Miu
Heels- Christian Louboutin
Clutch-Chloe

Tailored Brights

Take Jaegers collection for example, it contains some beautifully tailors creations in bright colours to bring it up a notch. This is how to wear colour! I have chosen 2 key colours and then I work around them with neutral colours, this helps your main colours really pop and since it is tailored you can look smart where ever you go!
Blazer-Elizabeth and James
Shorts- Chalayan High rise twill shorts
Heels- Gucci Tri-color suede platform sandals
Bag- Micheal Kors

Fragrance Favourites

Hey my beauties, the break is nearly over but we've still got some time left for some r n' r!
Today I will run you through some of my top fragrances of the moment and ones that I recommend you check out.

Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf

I love this so so so much, I have been meaning to get a new perfume for a while but I was undecided on which one but now I think that I have finally found it and I am so excited about this one. But I shall have to save up as it is a little on the pricey side but I think that it is totally worth it. When it was first released some people found the name 'flower bomb' slightly controversial (don't ask me why) but I think the name is cute. It is less florally than you may presume but it contains a lot of it it that makes sense. This scent has accents of samba jasmine, Centifolia rose, India osmanthus and Catleya orchid- it is divine! Sweet like candy but not to much and after awhile its under notes of vanilla come through-YUM! This scent is long last which is something I want because I don't see much point in investing in a perfume if you can only smell it for five minutes.

Stella McCartney LILY
This next scent is by Stella McCartney and although I'm not that gone on the scent I think it has the cutest meaning behind it-well thats what the spritzer told me! It is called LILY and is made in memory for her mother, Lily being her name. With the perfume LILY are actually acronyms that stand for Lily I Love You. I mean how could you not like that? The scent for this is Lily of the valley which they say is rather unfashionable but I say if you like then you like it, hey? The packaging is classy and it appears very whimsical which matches its fleeting scent.

L'Eau de Chloe
This is a very subtle, light and feminine scent that will leave you feeling fresh and youthful with its breezy light hearted smell. It is an elegant perfumes and most definitely not over powering but I think it will probably leave you wanting more-which is good I guess?

The NEW Nautical

This new season(i.e. SS) we will be showing off our sun kissed tans in style through the New Nautical. Now what is different between the the old and the New Nautical? Well let me explain, it is fairly simple but instead of the more typical navy and white colour scheme people will be opting for more of a break through colour- coral! I love the idea of this and it was all over the SS12 catwalks-just take a look at some of the marc by marc jacobs collection.

This is really bright and a very complementary colour because you can get various shades of it to suit you.   And if you think this colour is to bright for you pair it with a tailored navy blazer and some neutrals so you have only a pop of colour!

Mac Matchmaster Review

Macs match master foundation is probably one of their best yet for a more natural every day look. I think that it has a good texture as it is quite light but not too liquidy so a light goes a long way. I find that I only need to use one pump, but it also depends on the amount of coverage that you want as it is quite build-able.
The packaging is typical of MAC and very sleek/simple. Not to much to say about this apart from I like it!
There is a wide range of colours for all shades. I would recommend going into the shop and getting someone to match you to your colour though because its final finish is influenced by the subtleties of your own skin tone.  I like that this has SPF 15 because I am all for protecting your skin as much as possible but due to this it doesn't last more than several hours when it comes to shine control so I like to top it off with the mac prep and prime pressed powder to reduce any oiliness throughout the day.
I would recommend this product if you want medium coverage and for brilliant natural finish. I will probably be buying this product again in the future but I want to try out a few more different foundation before I decide my favourite!
   *****         4/5

Palettes- A pain or pleasure?

I am considering whether I should collect my Mac eyeshadows as individuals or in palettes. So far I am undecided and cannot make my mind up so some feed back would be great help!?
I like the idea of palettes because I would be able to have all of my eye shadows at my finger tips and they would be easy to transport. Would they be more expensive though?
I like the idea of collecting the individual eye shadows because I just love the look of having each shadow separately and I would love organising them.

So comment below on what you think is best and I'll post my decision when I make it!

HAPPY VALS BEAUTIES

Heya beauties,
It is officially valentines today and I just wanted to wish you a happy one. Just remember you are amazing so YOU need to enjoy YOURSELF because this day does not have to include anyone else  but you if you want!
Spread the Love and have a fabulous time!

Green Tea

I drink way to much tea and that is a fact. So I have have decided to convert to drinking more green tea. I like to use the 'Clipper' organic green tea and it comes with loose leaves which I personally find more appealing! I prefer to use the Clipper brand in particular because it is fair trade and they only work with producers who are striving to improve standards of welfare for workers and their families. This gives all the more reason to use their brand I think since its good to help those whenever possible.
Green tea in general has many health and beauty benefits. It is light, refreshing and clean tasting with lots of antioxidants. Research has also shown that it can even reduce the risks of some cancers! In terms of beauty green tea includes more antioxidants that many different types of powerful vitamins that they may put in facial creams! Green tea can slow ageing, help you through weight loss and help you lead a healthier lifestyle.

D.I.Y. your green tea

You can make many different things with green tea but one of the more useful things is a spritzer used to freshen up your face. You can also use this solution to sooth tired eyes and as this miracle substance even has antiseptic properties it can be used to treat minor cuts, rashes, spots and blemishes or even sun burn!
To create this all you need to do is to soak 100g of green tea in half a litre of still mineral water for 1 hour approx. Then you can strain out the loose leaves, pour into a spritzer bottle and use away.

Romantic eyes

This is a lovely image that I found that involves adding a dried wildflower onto the eye lid. I love the way tiny flowers have been placed at the edge of the eye because it gives a similar effect as false eye lashes. This look is not wearable but it is art and it reminds me of dusk with the snow white shadow that fades into a more pigmented pink.

Recreate it?
TO recreate this you could put the pink along the crease and minus the flowers. Tomorrow I will try to show you my version of this look and give some product ideas!

Valentines

Valentines day is tomorrow as you all may know and many of you may be having that last minute rush on deciding what to wear-I would like to raise the point that this is a chance to up the style stakes and get away with full on frills because it is a day of love, and when I say love it can be a love for fashion! So here is a simple that I have come up with to give you so instant inspiration. I aimed to incorporate similar items you may already have in your wardrobe!

Topshop textured lantern skirt
Zara pink heels

Topshop chiffon placket shirt
H&M chain necklace

I have paired a basic black skirt with a lovely crisp cream shirt, that will create a lovely chic and classy look. For accessories I have chosen neutral colours for the shoes and jewellery to keep it simple. This look is very effortless and versatile, you could also swap the heels for a pair on nude pumps and I have left the links with each item so you can check it out for yourself!
